Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. She is best known for her role as Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. In addition to playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward, she has appeared in The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant at Sante Fe New Mexico. The family moved to Ohio and she continued her love of the stage. The theatre school she attended was Northwestern University, and spent an entire semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago and worked in theater role for several years. Then she moved to Hollywood and began acting in films and TV shows. Anna got her first major part as Arden in the TV show Down the Shore. Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in 1992. The actress continued to make appearances as an actor in handful of TV series and movies, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue through the mid 90's when she appeared in a regular role as Jean Ward in The Practice. The role was played by Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons throughout the decade of 2000. Skyler was her role as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad. Sully and Deadwood was another movie she appeared in. Gunn also took to the stage in a David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. in 2022 Gunn participated in an audio-play show known as "Numbered days". The romance with Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the plot in Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and eventually its demise mirroring the same arc of Walter White's last years of life.
